A dedicated advocate for clarity and user-centered communications, Amy-Sarah has taught professional writing in a variety of settings. As a manager and leader, she has developed style guides, training materials, and process standards to improve consistency and efficacy. Poet

Amy-Sarah writes poetry, plays, children’s stories, essays, and fiction in Charlottesville, VA. She graduated with an MFA in Poetry from George Mason University and has published poems in the Wisconsin Review, So to Speak, Streetlight, The Dewdrop, Phoebe, Brooklyn Review, Diner, and other journals. Finishing Line Press published her chapbook, A-DRIFT, in 2021.

Nonprofit Leader, Speaker, & Activist

A passionate activist, Amy-Sarah served on the Charlottesville Human Rights Commission and as founding president of the Charlottesville Pride Community Network, an LGBTQ+ community nonprofit. She also managed SafeCville, providing safe-space trainings to businesses, nonprofits, schools, and medical establishments throughout the area. A Los Angeles native, Amy-Sarah currently lives in Charlottesville, VA, with her wife, 2 children, 2 dogs, and 2 cats.
